Weather for South Puget Sound
Storm winds usually blow from the south or southeast. In late spring and summer, the prevailing winds are from the west and northwest from Pacific highs. Except during storms, overnight winds are usually calm and there are rising afternoon breezes. In summer, a change to a southerly wind may indicate the approach of a storm front. Fog is common along the Puget Sound. April and May are the most fog-free months, while October, November, January and February tend to have the most fog. Weather conditions can be monitored on VHF Channel 1.
