Located in the sheltered waters of Bird’s Eye Cove at the southern end of Maple Bay, Cove Yachts can easily be identified by the large sign to starboard immediately after the Esso dock. Tie up on the end dock and go to the office. A limited amount of transient moorage is available at this extensive repair and maintenance facility which is family owned and operated. Experienced employees (including shipwrights, mechanics, electricians, painters and welders) have earned a reputation for reliable service and quality work. The shipyard is equipped to repair a wide variety of boats from pleasure craft to commercial vessels. Haulout facilities include a marine railway capable of hauling 100 tons, a 25-ton Travelift and a fixed crane used for spar work, engines and small vessels up to five tons. Most engine needs can be accommodated. Cove Yachts is an authorized dealer and service center for Volvo Penta, Westerbeke and Yanmar engines. A well stocked marine chandlery provides a variety of merchandise at competitive prices including a wide selection of paint, varnish, anti-fouling paint, zincs, fasteners, stainless steel hardware, rope and shaft seals and many other products and accessories. Other services include emergency towing, shaft and propeller repairs. Open year round, Cove Yachts is conventiently located to service both American and Canadian vessels.
